Gone Tropo Travel was created in 1996 as a Boutique Travel Agency dedicated to helping travelers explore the beautiful South Pacific.  We create romantic Fiji Honeymoon Packages, Tahiti Honeymoon Packages, awesome Australia Travel Packages,  any sort of tropical travel you wish.

We work with,  and are friends of,  many amazing travel people around the world  So while we are a small boutique agency we rely on long standing relationships we have built with resorts and their staff to ensure our clients the best prices and a flawless vacation.

My Story

Hi there!

My name is Diane Cameron and I am the owner/founder of  Gone Tropo Travel.  My passion is travel.

I was born to be a travel agent and started exploring the Pacific at the age of 4.  Crossing the Equator on the  SS Orion there was a party with King Neptune  and I received a big certificate (see below).  Since then I have received many certificates and awards but that Neptune Certificate, and the letters from happy clients are my favorite accomplishments!

My first job was working for a German Explorer at his travel agency in Los Angeles. We arranged travel for small groups of scientists and explorers going to Papua New Guinea, Antarctica, the Amazon and beyond ....what a job!

 Next stop Beverly Hills, as a travel agent working with clients to create dream trips it doesn’t get any better than Beverly Hills. But my longing to live in England took over and it was on to London

Back home in San Francisco and after many trips exploring the various areas of Australia , repeat visits to  the islands of Tahiti and Fiji (work work work) I decided it was time in 1996 to open Gone Tropo Travel.
