Yay! It’s your honeymoon,
where in the world do you wish to go?
A Honeymoon is the perfect time for customized trip planning…. let your personality and interests combine to create the perfect romantic itinerary.
Here are some of our favorite types of honeymoons: the totally relaxing - Beach Bliss, coming in at No 1 is Bora Bora of course often combined with a stay in Moorea and perhaps a third island in French Polynesia. For our clients on the East Coast we love the Maldives - especially when we can combine a few romantic desert Arabian Nights before you bliss out at an over the top, overwater resort.
Favorite billionaire’s escape… A Private Island Resort in Fiji , Fiji is home to the friendliest people, elegant private resorts, lush tropical foliage, amazing snorkeling, and what I call exclusive/inclusive.
Exotic Escapes…..perhaps you interested in exploring a different culture, food, and temples, all this with beautiful beaches, very elegant resorts, and animals. Thailand - has all of this and more - Go Now! they are filming the next White Lotus III in Thailand so expect it to be on the top of everyone’s list next year.
Another great escape is Bali, where we combine the beach, temples and coast with the serene spiritual Ubud, and then a few nights in Singapore on the way home, check out the locations from Crazy Rich Asians.
Adventure. Here is the scoop…. Australia has it all! Do you have two weeks…. like food, wine and wild. Want to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, hike in the worlds oldest tropical rainforest, create your own wine blend in the Barossa Valley, sleep under the stars of the Southern Hemisphere in a 5 star tented camp, hug a Koala ?
New Zealand - this is another destination that offers so much to visitors, the two islands are very different and combined offer experiences ranging from food and wine, sailing, glacier hiking, fjords, Maori culture and home to Middle Earth.
Of course we have more destinations, but this should give you an idea of some of the areas we specialize in.
Customized itineraries:
One couple traveled all around the South Pacific for their honeymoon… New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii exploring, relaxing and oh, yes, attending U2 Concerts in three different countries.
For another couple we combined the overwater bungalow experience in Bora Bora with Glacier Climbing in New Zealand.
We arranged a FamilyMoon to Australia for a couple and their blended family, and then the newlyweds enjoyed a romantic week for two in Paris!

HOW TO PLAN A HONEYMOON:
Scrolling through beautiful pictures of exotic destinations is fun…..until you need to plan a real trip and then it is totally exhausting, confusing and time consuming. Travel packages are created to catch your eye but then they are never available at that price for your dates or destination !! This is why at Gone Tropo we want to make your honeymoon planning easy and enjoyable.
Travel Dates - honeymoon travel dates can be quite specific, it is helpful to know when you can depart, and the return date you must be back. Please let us know if there is any wiggle room on the return date for a compelling reason ie a free night in Bora Bora or a savings of $500. on the airfare.
Resources for the trip. Let us know the general budget for the trip, but also it is a good idea to check and see if there are any mileage rewards to use for “free air tickets”.
Interests - Travel to new destinations offer so many things to see, experience and try. It is fun to include options that will fit your current interests, or perhaps introduce you to something new. Photography, Food, Diving etc.
Style - yes we want to know your style for this honeymoon. The tropics offer a unique type of luxury…the luxury of a pristine white sand beach, the clear aquamarine waters of a lagoon, huge blue sky, flower scented air and resorts with over-the-top accommodations. That being said some resorts are fancier than others with a variety of decorative styles from Polynesian to French chic. For instance The Brando is super fabulous- but it is not the same style as the fabulous Four Seasons Bora Bora This is why it is good to have a chat and work out an itinerary that fits your preferred style.
The more information we have the better our suggested itinerary/quote will be so if your idea of paradise is a small private resort we’ve got that. If you want a large variety of great restaurants, butler service we’ve got that too.
